Founded in 1991, TRS is a nonprofit corporation created to establish a multi-faceted forum with three primary objectives; service, education and promotion. TRS is an organization of relocation professionals from both the corporate and service industries, all doing business in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut regional area.
Service:
To serve as a resource group, making available a quality pool of resources to identify and facilitate creative solutions to the needs, both current and future, of the relocation industry.
Education:
To provide a forum for the exchange of information and the discussion of issues, concerns and trends of mutual interest that relate to the relocation industry. This is accomplished by keeping members informed through seminars, newsletters, discussion groups, focus groups problem-solving workshops, educational seminars and social gatherings.
Each year in June, TRS sponsors its annual June Event, which has historically drawn over 250 participants and offered top speakers and a depth of breakout sessions. The Winter Workshop, by contrast, seeks to provide a smaller forum to examine a given issue in greater depth.
Promotion:
TRS offers an excellent vehicle for service providers and corporate end-users to interact in a relaxed and productive environment. Only by actively listening to our relocation counterparts can we consistently meet the challenge of the future.
TRS publishes a quarterly newsletter, as well as an annual directory, both under the title Resources. Content and direction for both publications comes directly from the membership.
